BP says they will clean it up, they will make it right, and at no costs to the tax payer.  So who is paying for Air Force One to fly to the oil spill?  Who is paying the salaries and expenses of the Coast Guard who by the way are not guarding our coast making it possible for illegal drugs and terrorest to come ashore.  Who is paying the salaries and expenses of all the state and local personnel and resources tied up with this spill?  BP isn't paying all the bills, the tax payers are paying.

But is BP paying any bills?  Let us not forget that BP is a business and they pass on the costs of doing business to the consumer so in the end BP isn't going to pay a penny, the tax payers and the consumers who buy BP products are the onces who will pay for this mess.

Frankly it is difficult for me to feel sorry for anyone living along the coast.  All my life they have been warned that drilling off the coast is dangerous and if the worst happened it would be impossible to clean up.  It wasn't very long ago that many were saying "drill baby drill" and this is the result.  The oil industry told the world to trust them and most have and this is thepayback for that trust.  Recently the folks in England have began to grumble over our Presidents blasting of BP but let us be certain that if an American oil company had failed so badly and oil was washing up on the coast of England they would see this in a much different light.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.  The oil industry has lied to us for more than a century and it is time to stop riding that train and move on to fuels that are far less destructive.
